Kane County Chronicle

A HUGE thanks to reporter Eric Schelokopf and photographer Sandy Bressner of the Kane County Chronicle. I met with them on Wednesday for an interview and photographs, and they produced an awesome article and pictures, which was featured today. I was shocked to see it was on the front page! This was a big help to spread the word and hopefully stir up some more donations, and from the looks of it it's doing its job already as many people have already asked me more about the trip because they read the article. THANK YOU!!!

This is the picture featured in the Kane County Chronicle article.

Ride Against AIDS 2010

FACE AIDS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit student organization dedicated to mobilizing and inspiring students to fight AIDS in Africa. It was started in 2005 by a couple Stanford students who were inspired to do something about the epidemic after a trip to Zambia. The organization is now nationwide with over 250 chapters on college campuses and in high schools. Collectively, we have also raised over 2 million dollars to put toward our fight.

This summer I will be doing the FACE AIDS' Ride Against AIDS 2010, which is a cross-country bike ride to fundraise for and raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. I will be joining 5 Stanford students and one student from University of Wyoming.

I fly out to San Francisco on Thursday, June 10th and head over to Stanford in Palo Alto, CA for a couple of days of orientation and last minute preparations. And then the endeavor begins Monday, June 14th as we are sent off from campus.
